How to Tell when Anemoneme is Dead! =D

I was wondering what signs to look for when your anemonemene
(Pink Tip) is dead or close to dying. =D I heard that sometimes it is hard to tell if the anemonemenee is dying and some people only find out a few months later that it is dying with out realizing it. =S

Im sure one of the signs is when it looses it stinging powers =D
which probably isnt good =D. it possibly fouling ur water and cuasing a spike LOL.

Any thing else? =^___^=

Yup bleaching is a good way although it can take time. Another way is to poke it and see if it retracts its tentacles (technically speaking the name for them is oral arms). If everything is retracted bleaching is the best way to tell. You can also try pulling it off of whatever its attached to. If its dead it will come off easily and if its alive it will put up a fight. btw its spelled anemone hope this helps

Lots of folks new to this creature will assume their anemone is dead, when it has just expelled it's water to refresh itself with new water in a few hours.

Signs of a sick anemone that most likely wont make it : Gaping mouth, loss of tentacles, over inflating, spewing spaghetti like organs, unable to attach its self to any surface.
Dead anemone: if its been deflated for more than a day and eventually detaching from its base or if its melting.
