How to train arowanas to eat pellets?

CJ.. what is your aros current diet.. from your siggy i take it your aro is 10".. starve it for a couple of days and try the pellets.. if all your fish are in the same tank / pond(?) then it might be a problem or they might all take to pellets.. if the aro takes the pellet and spits it out.. then there is a higher chance cos it thinks it is food.. taking to pellets in one go has happened but not often.. you might have to try starving the aro for a couple more times.. don't starve for more than 3 days.. as in the days you are not giving its usual diet.. just try pellets.. the fourth day.. throw in its usual diet with some pellets.. will work.. cheers..

i went with the 50/50 method, i mixed the pellets with my blood worms (usual diet).

i tried the starvation method when trying to switch from hikari pellets to new life spectrum... unsuccessful. they were willing to eat anything NOT NLS... even my finger... that was 5 days, my aros are about 12 in

I fed blood worms 1 day just to make sure he was eating. Then wait 1-2 days of starving and see if he will eat pellets. Worked for me.
