I recently made a post that I am eyeing on a 6’ or 8’ tank. The sales lady said to me that for a 8’ tank the delivery person wouldn’t be able to unload it with the gate lifter since it exceeds the maximum length. Hence I wonder what options do I have with unloading? I do not wish to rent a fork lifter for the trouble and incurred cost, while I certainly don’t want to give up on a 8’ just for this reason. Thanks in advance for the inputs!

You can try to reach out to a moving company but they may say they can't do it. The last option is to hire the strongest people you know friends or relatives.
If the aquarium is acrylic it will be easier to lift than a all glass aquarium.

My glass 8ft tank was moved from the truck (rented a moving van to pick it up in another town) into place by myself, hubby, and 2 male friends. It weighs a freaking tonne and was a ***** to move. I'd recommend at least 2 more people lol.

I picked up a 6’ 200 gallon glass tank that was loaded by the seller and I, upon arriving home I unloaded the tank by myself onto multiple sets of furniture carts all I needed was my wife to close the tailgate of my truck.

I forgot to mention it is going to be acrylic. Thanks all for the inputs and I gotta say those are some good anecdotes of strong muscles :redface:
