hey i was wondering if there is a way to speed up the procces up builing up some bb in my sump i have an other filter running on the same tank but i was thinking like putting some goldifsh in the sump sections....anyideas?

you could squeeze your old media into your new media (like wringing out a sponge) to help transfer some BB... that will help transfer/move the BB.. but to make "more" grow.. it needs more "food"(waste)... i wouldnt suggest adding more fish for this unless you already have some quarantined feeder fish on hand... if not adding unquarantined fish directly to the sump is the same as adding them to the tank
