hey guys i was wondering how to get my arowana to let me pet him he sometimes does....but i was wondering if there are any tricks to get him to let me ...this might seem like a stupid question but i was just wondering

start with hand feeding them.. start with holding a pellet/filet/shrimp at the surface and then gradually sink your hand into the water.. sooner or later the aro will accept your hand as a part of its world and then you can get him her to chase your hand around when you hold the food and then there is only a small step until you can pet it and it won't run.. good luck!

oh yea forgot about hand feeding i do that when i change the fish tank and i touch it

i tried hand feeding it it it took it then i tried petting him and he bit my finger..didnt hurt tho...but im just going to keep trying

Wait till your aro gets to 24", thats when their bites hurt.

mines just pulls the food away from me lightly and lets me touch it lol

i can pet mines anytime. they just swim slowly away but when it comes to feeding time it is like my hand doesn't exist. i can grab them and move them around and they don't care as long as they see food.
