ok i have a gt and it has a orange tail when its in the tank ..
i had to paint to back of my tank so i put it in a tub to move the tank
i noticed the tail and fins were bright red.....
what light can i buy to make his colour more vivid in the tank ???

What colour are you trying to bring out?

A blue light will bring out all the blue iridesence in his scales.

A pink light will bring out his red and orange hues.

A white light will bring out little bits of both.

I would get two, a blue and pink, to get the best of both worlds.

thanks finally i have got them to darken they have been so dull for a long time lol

lol, yeah the dark backround really made them show their colours.

im running 2 T5 bulbs in my tank right now, 1 white and 1 pink, works well with the colours..

hmm ill try a pink one first cause i just bought new bulbs the other day lol

I use 7600k T5s aswell as a 10000k and 50/50, 50/50s don't seem as bright but is a full spectrum bulb mean it will show all colors very nicely.
