Hey all, So in an lfs near me they have a roughly 6inch Jardini....

My question is, I see tanks on here with Arowana mixed with cichlids, just wondering whats the best way too go about it?

I have a 210gallon 6x2x2.5 setup that houses 2x6inch Sevs, 3x2inch Geos, 7inch BGK, 12inch Plec, 4x1inch Angels, few tetras and Aus rainbowfish, pictus cats.

I guess im wondering if you would see this ending as a disaster, If i got a Jardini i dont want too lose him or anything else I've got already. Is it best to add a small one too larger cichlids? Maybe let them grow out for another 12 months?

Any thoughts, opinions or experiences greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Its not destined for disaster, just a high chance lol. i have a community jar hes 13" lives with cons, nics, sleepy cod, archer fish and plecos. Hes peacefull as long as hes well fed he gets a little bit cranky towards the other fish if hes been without food for a day or two. I did have to remove an 11" snook from the tank he was beating on. If I were you i'd wait till hes 12"+ when hes true attitude shows then try. The angels, rainbows and pictus may be snack food though.

99% chance it wont work but everyone told me keeping one with my silvers and bichirs wouldnt work either and it did

It may or may not work....all fish are different. Its worth a shot...better to start it in a comm at a small size and see what happens. Just be aware that it may not work as it gets bigger and you need to be prepared for it.

It's OK to try mixes such as this as long as you are prepared to properly deal with all the fish if the mix goes bad.

i think u r fine, make sure to watch them tho, u cant trust fish LOL
and seperate when u see things not right especially the aggressor

ok, cool, i have a 55g that i might move some of the smaller more peaceful fish into, ie angels, rainbows. Just that down here you dont see many in stores, i think this is the second i have seen for sale, tho i reckon they would order in if i asked. Thanks guys
