Found this in my employer's storage. Looks like gravel but not sure if it is. It sinks and around 3-4 mm in size. Doesn't bleed in water. Planning to use on my next setup. Any ideas on how to test it?
How will I know if this is fish safe?

looks like black gravel. i use it in one of my tanks and i like it. helps bring out the colors in the fish
If it does not bleed what is there to test. You should be able to look and tell whether it is some type of rock.
