I plan on getting a couple of small GT's and letting them pick their mates, i figure ill get better genes then, once theyve picked im going to move the dominant pair, or the pair that looks prettiest to my 90gal and leave the others in a 55 for a while. my question is how will i know when they're paired up

The pair will follow each other around alot. They will also attack the other two fish which means their(the pair) is defending their territory. Following each other constantly is usually a good way to find out if you have a pair.

gotcha, ok thanks

ok sounds good to me, im thinkin some from HOT some from petsmart making a total of like 4-6
