Reading some of these posts lately about tanks cracking or splitting and all the damage it causes. I have a 225 gallon cycling at home right now that I cannot seem to get comfortable with as far as breaking is concerned. I've never had a tank fail in the past but that doesn't ease my mind. Don't want to wake up to 200 gallons of water in the living room.
:nilly:

How do you all feel about your tanks?

on a level stand glass tank last forever lol

i got a 4th hand glass tank with a wooden frame lol its gettin old atleat 10 years might be double

gotta trust em when your tanks are in the loft lol

All you can do is the proper maintenace. Check you seals and have a good stand.

true.

I have over 1,000gallons in my house. and only had a 180gallon explode...
so lets hope it dosnt happen again O.o

One thing that helps is to know who made your tank and their reputation.

Lots of things CAN happen but tank breakage are few and far between. You could get into an accident in your car on your way to work but that doesn't mean that most of us quite driving. lol

Fraser, your a brave man! :D

Only thing that makes me feel better is insurance, making sure the tank is level, and not thinking about it :grinno:

I get worried about my tanks on the first fill but after a week I settle down and don't worry as much. Placement has a lot to do with how much i worry as well.
