About a 1 1/2 years ago my female marble shed all of her stingers and did not have one for about 6 months. Since then her stingers have been really short, crooked, and one even backwards. They grow about an inch long and then fall off. Have no clue what is happening but I was gone for a week and came home to this stinger that grew straight up. The crazy thing is it grew like this in one week. I have since cut it off in fear of another ray getting stuck. If you look along her tail you can see a white stinger the has grown backwards and just under all of it she has finally grown a normal looking one.
