I painted all of my tanks a couple of months ago. I want to remove paint off one of my tanks. What would be the best way to remove it?? It's a 100 gallon glass tank. 48x18x????

i would try a razor blade maybe? what kind of paint did you use? i used 5 coats of that Krylon satin black spray paint and i dont think it will ever come off. not that i want it to.

Razor blade scraper- you can get one for like 1.50 at a hardware store. I had to scrape a 90 when I bought it. They had painted the back white, ehhh.

White? ugh...that must have looked bad. In the future, you can use latex paint if you want it to come off easily.

Nuclear explosions work great, but I suppose you want to keep the tank intact? J/K

I would use a good razor blade. Be careful of using any chemicals as chemicals may damage the plastic trim.

methylated spirits. if there was no trim i'd use acetone... jsut tape up the silicon.

Time + Razor Blade = Clean Tank.

I don't like to use any chems on my tanks. I had to remove 3 sides of spray paint from 2 tanks I got from a pet store, took a couple hours with a razor.

rubbing alcohol or a razer blade is best. if you like etched or frosted glass then you could sand blast it but its not advised if u wish to see anything threw it.
