How would YOU solve the spill?

Apparently nobody knows what to do. Everyone in my neighborhood keeps talking about England this or compensation that. I am yet to hear more than one suggestion, which was to ask one of the various experts.

Obviously, none of us are professionals, and this is a lounge thread, but how might YOU try to solve the spill?

NOTE: This is NOT a discussion about BP or the government. This is held solely in regard to how you might go about solving it.

the leak may be able to be stopped, but there is no solving this puzzle, the damage is already done and permanent.
