My first thought is to go sandy bottom with a few large SA cichlids and maybe an Arowana.

I was thinking of filling my 135 with a lot of medium sized mixed cichlids when I moved my big guys to a new tank. But that is a hole lot of fish to buy.
Aro would be cool although silvers get huge and jardinis tend to kill everything. A frontosa specimen tank allways look really good.
I would do sand and SA cichlids like you said, but unless you have a bigger tank to upgrade to soon, don't even bother with the arowana. I would do something like a group of small-medium sized Geos and then a larger cichlid or two like oscars, sevs, etc.
Ok, well glad you told me about the aro. I didnt realize they needed that big of a tank let alone could reach 3' +. Now that Ive done alittle reasearch I will not be getting an arowana. Thanks for all the suggestions. Keep em coming!!!
