HOW YOU GUYS DEAL WITH TEMP.

Hi.

I want to ask a question to all the outdoor pond experts, but first of all forgive me if it has been asked before:

Guys, I am planning in advance to build an outdoor pond to keep some turtles, an alligator snapper among them. The pond is going to be as much about 1000 gal and that is plenty of water to get it at a proper temp in the cold months for my turtles.

Any suggetions to deal with the temp issue?.How can I keep it at about 23 to 27 degrees constantly????.

Pond covers are also helpful on the colder nights, or float large areas with sheet Styrofoam.

A small greenhouse around the pond will keep heat and the turtles in.
