I have a 135gal Tank with a 9in Female RD, and a 7in Mayan Cichlid, a 6in JD, 7in Texas and 6 small sized Pink Convicts.

I saw a 7-8in Male Festa at a LFS what do you think are the odds that the RD, Mayan and the Male Festa will get along. There are plenty rocks and pieces of driftwood in the tank. At this point I'm considering getting rid of the JD and Texas to make room for the new arrival. Currently there is not much aggression for the most part.

should I go for it?

lol that is going to be one aggressive tank.
i strongly recommend keeping the other fish, even though it will be a bit cramped.
keep the tank a bit open with 0 hiding spots.
i wouldn't want those fish to start tearing eachother up over territory lol.

i hope my advice helped a little bit, i'd go for it!!

I think that at some point the RD will snap and probably kill most of your fish .. but thats just a guess , Mine just ripped the pad off a brand new algea scraper

Those fish will continue to grow and get more aggressive as they establish territories. Even if you get rid of the JD and Tex it could be ugly...but you never know, all fish have different personalities. Good luck

Don't think it will work. I've pulled fish out of tanks and tried to add new ones and it just doesn't work. You'd be just as likely having it work out if you threw him in there without taking something out.
