I recently purchased three baby 1" Festae's and I've had them for about 3-4 days. It seems like two of them like to swim together where as one just kinda chills on his own. Can they be pairing up this early?

Im wondering the same about my festae. I'm sure 1" is to small for any pairing to go on. Mine are both about 3'" and he stays by a pot with her and they both have exposed the glass on the bottom in front of the pot by moving the gravel. They both work on it together. He and she also dance. They also chance anyone else coming around away. :) hopefully they pair up and spawn in the next few months. GL with yours, i would also like to know the smallest they start pairing.

Yeah, I mean I'd be super happy to know I already have a pair ready for breeding when they're older but 1" seems a bit small

Festae don't generally pair till about 3-4" when they start to show color. But the two swimming together could possibly turn out a pair once they grow. Pairs often move around the tank together.
