Yes you can sex some of them but what species are you looking at some it’s not a problem others it’s hit and miss. With something like 28 species of snakehead from dwarf to monster we might be able to help you. the norm is The males are larger then females of the same age (i know thats a bit hit or miss but you asked)

Channa micropeltes (Giant Snakehead) build a nest in among plants by clearing an area. The eggs float up to the surface where they are guarded by both parents. The parents guard both eggs and fry.

you will need one tropical pond as They reach sexual maturity at the size of 1.5-2 feet. Since it is difficult to identify male/female with Channa Micropeltes, an ideal way would be to place a bunch of Channa Micropeltes together untill they pair up
