Hi i have heard u need some kind of license to keep pianhas?? is that true??? and if so how do u get 1???

piranhas are illegal in new york unless you have a permit, but they only issue permits for scientific or display reasons. you can check with your local fish and wildlife, but i have heard that it is impossible for a hobbyist to obtain a permit.

not sure why they're not allowed there, you'd have to check with your state, but there are plenty of other states that share in your pain, here's a link to more info...
