I am fairly new to this site. But the information you have provided to others has been extremely useful to me. The most important thing I have learned is to not ask anyone at the pet store chain, they know who they are, anything. Okay well I might ask them how much something costs, but that's it. I and my fish Thank all of you.

funny how quick you pick up on that! I often ask them anyway because some of the staff really do know what they're talking about (but usually only in good shops).
here is a great place to get info, with so many people to give u their opinion.

hello and welcome to MFK. this is an awesome place to learn and to get help if needed. not all pet stores are stupid. just most of them.

local fish stores are usually better than the big chains but it depends. sometimes its quite the opposite.

welcome to mfk.. yes i wish alot of the people who worked in fish stores would also join MFK to learn and understand more about fishkeeping... Very nice to meet you and glad your here and learning and spreading the words..

Thanks, I have a 55 gal community tank planted with beginner stuff, 30 gal goldfish and a 10 gal with a nasty little cichlid that doesn't play well with others.
