Hello, Just found the site and loved it. I've kept aquariums off and on as time allowed, army brat and then army myself. Now living in Texas and have been keeping fresh and saltwater aquariums and decorative water features(2600gal and 1800 gal) for five years now. Some cute organisms, but prefer larger more predatory creatures. The 2600 gal. pond is mostly plants and Japanese koi. The 1800 gal. pond is for my pet largemouth bass. She was originally a little four incher used to control goldfish populations, but at 1 1/2 she is now 2.75lbs and had to be moved to her own space. She started to eat very expensive koi. I like to keep the set-ups as natural as possible. I had a beautiful amazon flathead catfish that I grew from 6 in. to 3 ft. in four years, but while out of town had a heater malfunction this winter and she expired. Sad day! Well, I've said too much.
