hello there - got lured in by a shiny ad ina fish mag (forget which one). nice place you've got going here!
i'll admit to being primarily a reptile guy, but i do love the fish, too - especially the big ones. and the small ones, and the medium ones...
currently, i' keep a 20" <i><b>Polypterus ornatipinnis</i></b> that i've had for about 11 years (got it when it was the size of my little finger) and who lives alone due to antisocial behavior, and a 29-gallon mixed species tank with assorted cats (a biggish striped raphael, something unidentified that looks a bit like a giraffe, and a big male bristlenose pleco) and a trio of <b><i>Pseudocrenilabrus nicholsi</i></b> that just spawned for me this week.
reptile-wise, i've got:
1.1.0 <i><b>Rhacodactylus chahoua</b></i> - mossy New Caledonian geckos
1.1.0 <b><i>Rhacodactylus henkeli</b></i> - eyelash or crested geckos
1.1.0 <b><i>Agamura persica</b></i> - Arabian spider geckos
1.0.0 <b><i>Tribolonotus gracilis</b></i> - red-eyed armored skink
1.1.0 <b><i>Furcifer pardalis</i></b> - Sambava panther chameleons
1.1.0 <b><i>Uromastyx benti benti</b></i> - orange Yemenese spiny tailed lizards
1.0.1 <b><i>Uromastyx benti pseudophilbyi</b></i> - rainbow Uromastyx
1.0.0 <b><i>Cyclura nubila lewisi</b</i> X <b><i>caymanensis</b></i> - Cayman Islands rock iguana (hybrid)
1.2.0 <b><i>Pituophis melanoleucas</b></i> - black pine snake
1.1.0 <b><i>Acrantophis dumerili</b></i> - Dumeril's boa
1.1.0 <b><i>Aspidites ramsayi</b></i> - Woma python
1.0.0 <b><i>Elaphe taenura friesi</b></i> - Taiwan beauty rat snake
also, my token warm-blooded pet: a Senegal parrot (<b><i>Poicephalus senegalus</b</i>) named Emmett.
i've been an active critter-keeper for almost 30 years, again slanted more toward the reptile side. past president of the pacific NW Herpetological Society in Seattle for 2 terms, blah blah, yak yak. and i'm one of those annoying types that needs to know the Latin for anything i'm interested in as well as how to keep it before i ever bring it home...
enough about me, though. just wanted to say hello!
