So I just got my fish transferred into my new tank that I got from my sister for Xmas
They're not monster fish by any means, but I posted my pics on another forum (grandmarq.net) and one of the members there linked me to here and I figured I'd register as i'm a little bit of a forum junky and am wanting to grow at least my "Big Guy" more!
I've got a 30 gallon tank, with the following fish:
1 Plecostomus (about 7" long right now)
2 Blue Rainbow fish
2 Orange Rainbow fish
I started into the fish hobby about 1.5 years ago with a 10 gallon tank and 8 rosy red minnows. I got the Pleco to help control algea in the tank. The minnows did not last very long (I think because of water temp being a tad high for them). My dad got me the Rainbows about 6 months ago and they're doing great
I'm still learning the hobby, in fact, in the process of setting up my new tank I learned that my water maintence was a bit of a fail. But that will now change as I know what I was doing wrong and can correct it! I just hope the new tank doesnt shock my little buddies!
Pics attached! Not the best quality, i'm not that great at taking pictures. I know the water is a little cloudy, I had to dump some of the water from the old tank into the new one to get the Big Guy in (he's bigger than my net, must get a new net!)
