Thanks everyone for the welcome! It's only a 135 gallon tank, but it's definitely got character! I just picked up 2 8+" Satanoperca daemon today that will eventually be housed in that tank. Eartheaters are so seldom seen on my island that I jumped at the chance to get them. They're in my 85ish gallon acrylic Truvue tank right now. It's a "Double-bubble" tank. Basically a black acrylic 3'x3'x1' box with 2 dome shaped skylights protruding out of it. It's the natural counterpart to the Bob Sherman tank, it's just a shame they won't be in the same room, but oh well.
I'll take pictures as I go. I got a reply from Marineland telling me to use Dow and Corning #1205 and 100% Silicone caulking to reseal the dome. I'm tempted to invert this dome so that it would match the other tank, but I'm just as tempted to leave it as it was originally. I think I'd have to enlarge the hole just a little bit to invert it, so I might not do it after all.
I'll have to figure out the appropriate place in the forum for that thread and start it this week!
Thanks again,
Jon
