i've been a member for a while. i mostly just look around. i'm hoping to learn more about digital photography. i was using a HP Photosmart 320, 2.1 MP, 4x digital zoom. but i just got a new cam for crimmas. it's the Kodak DX 7440, 4.0 MP, 4x optical and 4x andvanced digital zoom. this new cam has tons of features- various picture modes, color or B&W photos, aperture priority, shutter priority, just to name a few. not sure what that all means quite yet, but looking forward to learning. here's a couple shots i've taken with it.

Hey AL, good to see you around. Think you handle your new camera quite well. Nice scenery photo you took. And, I'm sure your cute baby will soon grow up a beautiful lady. Keep the pics coming, you'll get some valuable addvice out here.

I would edit the first picture and remove the angle from the horizon - make it 0 degrees.

2nd picture is just excellent....

not sure what this means.

thanx for the compliment.

sorry to be a bother, but i still have no clue what that means. i'm very new to photography and don't know hardly anything about it. hope to learn here though. any suggestions for websites, books, etc. to learn some basics from?

btw, thanx for the compliments and the welcomes.
