Just wanted some of you experienced ray keepers,to take the time to have a quick look at these photos of my female rectic.
I have had her a couple of months now and I think she is doing well.
She eats and is active enough, but she does spend a fair bit of time buried in the sand. She does this most after feeding. I believe it's normal behaviour but I have also read it could be due to stress?
I also wanted to ask if her tail looked fat enough,or should I feed more, and fatten her up more?
I am probably being a bit paranoid but I really like this ray and want to make sure everything is how it should be.
Her diet consists of live earthworms (her favourite) prawns, white fish and mussels (she's not to fond of the mussels though)
Thanks in advance for any replies.

She looks nice and fat. Rays only bury themselves when they get scared or feel threatened. A healthy ray is always on the move looking for food

This is what I had read yet she eats well and is very is active.
She does it mostly after eating.
I've checked my water parameters regularly and all is well there.
Lighting in the tank is quite dim.I can't understand why she may be stressed.
Tank mate's are peaceful and never bother her.
Any ideas why she may be stressed?

Looks great!! From my experience it's completely Normal for rays to burry them selves just depends on the rays personally. Blacks on the other hand don't seem to burry.
