1 male blood parrot
1 male red texas
1 unsexed green terror
1 unsexed ornate pim catfish
3 unsexed pictus pim catfish
1 male bristlenose catfish
all coments welcome. i ordered my filter so i am not that far off. i am gonna use a fx5 and a hob(i dunno the name, its a 400 gph)
:D:popcorn::naughty:

Sounds good to me as far as bio-load and filtration, but I can't guarantee you wont encounter some problems with aggression.

Might have some problems with aggression, might not. Your dempseys will get huge in that tank. I had one in a 125 for over four years and he was 13" when he died.

the aggression might come from the catfish... some of those guys can get nasty

Size and growth rate are determined by your feeding schedule, your water quality, and waterchange size/frequency, as well as the genes of the fish itself. Tank size is irrelevent to a fish's growth as long as it meets the minimum requirements.

ya i am gonna have some kick A filtration so i should be good there. and the fish get feed every other day, or 1 time a week, depending on what their getting for food. and as for decor i am gonna be using lots of artifical roots and fake plants(so lots of hiding places) also gonna have pfs as substrate

Then I doubt you will see any exceptionally quick growth rates in any of your fish. To keep your fish growing at a steady rate, you need to feed them at least once a day (which is especially important for juvies), and it is never a good idea to let young fish go an entire week without food regularly... that sounds like a great way to get the slowest possible growth out of your fish, and possibly even starve them to death. I would never feed any fish less than once a day if its growth hasn't naturally slowed yet, and I know of at least a couple members who always feed young fish at least 2x per day.

Also, good filtration doesn't = clean water, the only way to keep your water clean is by doing weekly waterchanges of 30% or more, or more frequent smaller water changes.

Yes, don't deprive the young ones food. I don't even feed my big fish that little. They all eat 2x a day, mostly 3x a day of a variety. Keep up with the water changes. It really makes a difference in health and growth.
