As some of you may know, I've been looking to re-stock my 220. I really want an Aro, but the only one I can afford, and that doesn't outgrow the tank, and that I like was a green arowana, but multiple members stated there pretty aggressive, now that got me wondering; if I keep a green with other aggressive fish, such as Amphilophus Chancho; will it turn out as an all out war? Or two brutes coping with each other for the most part? So this is the stock that I'm debating on:

1 Green Arowana
A pair of Amphilophus Chancho
6 Black Bar Silver Dollars
1 Pleco of some sort

I don't have any experience with these species so I cant help you much, buy I really like the chanchos so if you end up getting some keep us updated!

imo if you are going to growout an arowana, keep it a lone until it reaches a good size to mix with other tankmates. ive seen greens before and they seem pretty sketchy when small, but maybe thats just the ones i have seen. a 220 should be fine for a silver though, i keep a 20" silver in a 130 gal and all is fine (not the best advice, but it can work)

Thanks, but the chanchos's aren't looking good; rapps isn't breeding them anymore... :(
