I have had a female Dimidiochromis compressiceps for awhile now. I recently got 3 more adults (1 male 2 females). The one I originally had has stopped eating. Would it be too soon to have fry in its mouth or it is just not eating because of stress from new tank mates because she is smaller.

Either is possible. Watch her closely and if she is holding you should be able to see here tumbling the eggs.
