Okay, silly question that I think I know the answer to already, but wanted to know for sure before I ruled this option out... I have a 20 gallon long planted tank (picture below) with 1 3" male HRP and 9 pristella tetras. I was wondering if it was at all possible to have some cherry shrimp in the tank, or if the HRP would just seek them out and eat them. I feel like they could hide and live in the thick plants on the right side of the tank

doesn't look like the plants are thick enough to keep him out. besides, the shrimp I've had like to spend a lot of their time crawling around on top of the plants. I managed to keep them for a while (about 2 years) in a 55, but eventually the boesemani got them all.

Yeah - my LFS wants $7.30 for 2 of them, and they came in small, so I don't want to risk it obviously. Just added a banana plant and an amazon sword to the tank for a little more coverage, as well as some micro brazilian swords. Should help but definitely still not enough cover
