i have a few and they are a great schooling fish for a pred tank. I like how they hunt together.

this guy was barely eating enough to get by until this past weekend. i am a firm believer that they must have another top dwelling fish to "hang out with". after i added the arro, the rocket has eaten more in 4 days than he did in the previous 2 months.

Looking good. I saw a school of these at a lfs and was tempted on getting them.

youre right.
mine is much more aggressive when it comes to eating when there is another top dweller.

The eat better with freinds because of there schooling and huinting structure. With mine as soon as one of them swipes at a feeder with in 15 seconds they all have one. It like a chain reaction and really neat to watch. -------------They do grow slowly and I think they are right on par with H tat's on growth rate. Except for the first few months. Mine went from 2'' to 4-5'' in just 3 months and now have slowed down to a crawl. My biggest is 3 yrs old and only 7-8''.

My old Hujeta ate like a pig and he was by himself with the exception of 3 glass headstanders. He ate krill, pellets and shrimp. Lost the whole tank to a case of ick :(
