My male jack keeps trying to breed with my female, and in the process he beats her up bad. So I've been planning to move her to the 40 gallon with my bichir, since they are both calm and cool. But 2 weeks ago I got a surprise rescue. A lady gave me two of her female convicts, so her males won't breed with them. I had a 30 gallon un-setup, so I agreed to take them. After quarantine I put one female in with the bichir and female jd and the other with the male jd, cuz the 30 isn't ready yet. I'm hoping the male jack won't do anything to the fm con. The reason I didn't put the 2 fm in the 40 gallon with the fm jd, is the bb balance is strangely delicate . I think I did something wrong in cycling it, but if I add more than two fish at a time, or add too many real plants, the bbs go crazy. I hope by the time I finish setup up the 30 gallon, both convict will survive.
