yeah its pretty outrageous and sucks for the Tigerfish. But how do you reckon hes still alive and for how small the tank is looks to be in pretty good shape? I can't figure it out.. I wish someone would save the poor thing...
This kind of stuff ain't uncommon. My uncle in Asia had a 18" jar in a 36x18x18" tank. Looked healthy and not deformed, when I asked him how old it was he told me it was a little over 10 years old. Blew my mind.
Yeah I mean idk... to me? It seems like the fish is being mistreated and needs WAY more room. But others view the hobby differently and I mean to be fair the water quality looks pristine in that tank so I really am in no position to tell people who have old healthy good looking specimens that they are keeping there fish in the wrong conditions.
My bet is that this fish was either wild caught at this size, or raised elsewhere. and THEN put in that tank. I don't feel like it grew up in there to be that size.
