I went to a couple LFSs today looking to restock recently emptied tanks. I have an oscar in a 75, got a second to go with it. I was going to add a couple 3-3.5" albino senegalus but then noticed the 8" endlicheri in the same tank. He was only $35. He will be in the 75 until he outgrows it, at which point he will go to the 150 that currently houses the Lake Malawi peacocks. I didn't notice it until I got him home, but he is missing his right eye. Looks fine though so I don't really care. I don't think that was why he was so cheap.

What species are the bichirs in your avatar? Are they yours? What is the name of that morph? How much do they cost?
Nice pickup, i've got 2 endlicheri endlicheri about the same size and one of mine has only 1 eye and he's doing fine. in fact i got him and another one which is a perfect specimen and although the one eyed one does not have as good colours it eats a lot more and is growing rapidly quicker than the other one! here's a pic of mine with my mbu making a cameo appearance in the background.
Both are great looking fish! I can't wait to get a 180 set up so I can bring home the four 11" endlicheri we have at work! So jealous!
