I'll bet a few people on this thread will appreciate this. At disney world I snapped this (crappy) pic of an african lungfish in a tank at animal kingdom. The "beast" was massive with a girth that many would have trouble getting their arms around. The length is hard to tell from the pic. The head on the right, the tail extends almost to the left edge of the pic. I would say it would be approaching 4 feet.

Enjoy

Looks more like two kids to me!!! JK

Kinda hard to see but when you look closely.........WOW!!!

GD thats a huge fish in any right for aquaria!!!! Got any more pics without the glare by chance? I know, glare sucks:D

Great Lungfish. Looks like an Australian Lungfish though.

Unfortunaly that is the best picture that I had, I didn't realize how bad the glare was until I was reviewing the pics back at the resort. I must admit I spent most of my time drooling over the massive bichers in the tank as well.

There was a sign on the wall that did profile the African Lungfish, thus at the least that was how they were labeling the fish. As for it's food I would imagine that each morning there are a few less cichlids swimming around.:) :)

When I went to Sydney Aquarium the other day, they had one huge tank containing two huge Lungfish (including a pure Albino!)

Cheers... (I will show pics when I get back from holiday!)
