Is what my brother just told me he saw in a tank at a LFS. Was traded in because of his size. He didn't get a measurement but did say it must be 1'+. I know that wouldn't huge by mfk standards but that's much larger than the two i have. Should i go check him out? Should i buy him despite the fact i already have two ornates? $99.99 was the price.

The lfs in my town haven't even heard of acrylic tanks, let alone bichirs! So this would be considered a rare find.
At my LFS they have about 4 ranging from 10'' to more then 1'. All the large 1'+ ones are $99.99 so if you have the space then why not.
Go for it if you have the room and you dont think your being ripped off and dont forget the pics when you get him lol.

Is three ornates too much though? I'd like to get some of each speacies eventually and having three of one...maybe sell one of the smaller ones and keep the big guy? Thanks to king el the tank mates are endli polli and lap. Might have to be a quick decision as somebody else may buy him.
$12 ornate is a bit expensive for that price but if you really want it that bad then go for it.

ok i just called up a new lfs and they have a 1 foot ornate for 150? isnt that a little overpriced? the 1 foot endlis are 100 also
