Not sure where to put this thread... If this is the wrong place, moderators please move it to the proper forum.

I was at my local PetSupermarket last week and they have two nice sized plecos. ( one is def. a common, but the largest may be a snow king). One is prob. 13", while the other looked to be around 15"+.

The asking price is $19.99 per pleco ( which is not too bad considering they are a pet store...)

I will try to get a picture of them when I go back tomorrow ( if they are still available).

If anyone lives locally ( Wilmington, NC) and has a nice sized tank or pond, it would be great if they could pick them up.

...............

This is a random question, but does anyone know where I can get a decent sized group of feeder danios. (around 50?) These fish will not be used as feeders. I just like the way they look, especially the long-fin variety.
My lfs has them for 0.49 each, but their is no way they would sell me a group of 50. (maybe 20, but not 50).

They would be going into a 55g lightly planted tank.

No offense intended but but this isn't news worthy. I've owned about 10 plecos before that were over 15 inches(19.5 being the biggest).

My LFS almost always has a 15 inch pleco and I've have seen several plecos before over 20 inches

50 large plecos in a 55? Are you gonna stack them like bricks?

That make more sense, my pc doesn't show anything about danios.

Why won't they sell you a large number of feeders? I would think people would regularly buy feeders 50-100 at a time

Are you using the white background? Sometimes I lose the text as well on the white background. If you notice her text starts at the bottom of the box (in the white background), there is a whole bunch of other text above that. Just highlight with your mouse. I was confused as crap as well before I highlighted on the white text is looks like the user is looking for 50 large pleco's for a 55 gallon tank.

Or this is what it says:

It sounds like she is only after the danios and not the other types of feeders and can't get them for whatever reason...Around here only a few stores sell danios as feeders but they don't always have them.

The first thing that comes to mind when they refused to sell you 50 at one time is - I don't think you can safely add 50 at once but you should rather gradually add them little by little so that you won't shock the tank with the bioload, which would cause the fish to die.

50 at once as feeders is ok, because they get eaten, they won't be living in the tank. That could have been the issue as well, maybe the sales associate thought that you were using them as feeders and was against it.

It could be something entirely different, maybe he wanted those danios for himself that day, but that's my guess.

You could buy 20 now, then buy 20 next week, and then the last 10 after another week. You don't have to get them at the same time.
