i have a hujeta gar and it loves to eat feeders. my lfs had all sick feeders so i didnt but any, the gar didnt get some food for a couple days but i always feed my bichirs dry food and then my Gar was eating freeze dried bllod worms!!!!! Am i the first this has happened to? now it always eats dry food including hikari cichlid gold!!!!

my hujeta (rip) used to love pellets and freeze dried krill..........thats wonderful when you can get them broken off of live!!:)

Mine loves dry food. It enjoys specially Sera sticks, Sera flora (flakes!!) and Tetra cichlid sticks. The most remarkable is that in the lfs it eated only feeders and here it has also the possibility to eat feeders that are in the aquarium to my H. platyrrinchos.

my old pair of hujetas ate live and prepared foods too. its a good thing, but im sure its not rare for them to do.

Mine only eat Hikari floating Arow pellets..
Sinking Shrimp pellets.. flakes
bloodwornms and brine shrimp..

they vary RARELY get feeders.. and when they do its fancy guppies ^^

My Hujeta's never get live food. They eat flake, pellet, and frozen food such as bloodworm, krill and lancefish.

I know Hujetas who gorge themselves on pellets!!!
