hujeta on prepared foods?

scooped one up as a baby. owner said they are eating guppies but i dont wan to introduce disease to the stock.

should i try the starve tactic then drop in blood worms(frozen)

or perhaps freeze some small feeder fish until i get him on pellets?

Pellets are a no no, This fish eats small minnows in the wild and will not take Blood Worms either, I recommend Prawns,Shrimp,Krill, and Silversides to these highly predatory characins such as Hujetas. I think it's time to make a stop at the fish store
