How are these guys? My friend has some, but I've always been relectunt to try them because they look so plain, but I have learned that some of the dullest colored fish have the best personalities.
Will 2 of them do ok with 2 red tail cudas?

They'll be fine together. A good teaching fish for cudas. Easier to get on prepared foods. Can keep together with red tail cudas. Just make sure about the same size.

Easiest way is to get a powerhead and throw in strips of tilapia and tubifex. Even live crickets in the mix and should be able to wean off of live foods. Takes some patience.

Ok I'll get one or two of them then. They are only like 6-8 dollars at Aquascape.

That's cheap....although it may get made up for in shipping. Still cool fish for the price.

I think I'll do 2 cudas and 2 gars. I'll put them in the 55 with the silverdollars, chocolate and severum and lima. The 55 has floating plants so should keep them from being too scared.

OOPS correction, they are $15. Still not bad... I could have sworn they were $8 must have been another site.

Usually run for more than $8.

Seen those Hujeta's in person at aquascape, pretty cool fish. Kinda skinny though.
Aww so that aren't getting fed well, but not here, they'll be spoiled.
Have you gotten a good look at the barracudas and Widebar silver dollars?? Did you see any red tailcudas in the tank and did the widebar dollars have orange coloration?

I figured that. I was looking at a totally different fish at the same time I posted this thread. stupid me.
