Usually they are transparent however the fins on my 2 Hujeta's are almost completely black. one being more so than the other, i'm not going to Lie i think the Black looks awesome but is it something i should be worried about? They were not black only hours ago.

I'm wondering if they turn black when it gets dark out. I've been sitting and watching them and slowly but surely their fins are turning clear again. I think this may be so there not so vulnerable in the dark? The fins are still a little dark but not nearly as dark as before, they were literally pitch black.

fin rot

i was thinking breeding coloration, but theyre only 6"...
if theyre acting fine and eating fine i wouldnt worry about it.

Its a sign of stress.

my shoal does it everytime I put my hands in there tank to rearrange decor.

see i've been watching them the past few days, and it honestly seems once it starts to get dark their fins start to turn black, almost pitch black.

Pics ?
