I read that they actually turned away foriegn aid like food and water. Apparently some of the soldiers involved defected because of ignorance by those in charge

Hello; Yes I saw that also. At the very least there are two different men fighting about who gets to be boss. They also do not seem to care how the people get hurt in their struggle. I guess as long as their particular agenda wins the rest of the starvation and lack of medicine is acceptable?

I guess we can look forward to droves and caravans of those people trying to come here to make demands of what they want yet they couldn't get their politicians down there to do right by them.

Hello; So very tempting to reply with what I consider the truth but since open discussion is restricted I will say only this. Outside of the power struggles there were some mistakes made years ago.
Back when crude oil was more expensive the country was bringing in the money big time from oil sales. They started various programs in the country and could foot the bills with oil money. Now for a few years the oil money is much less and some other stuff has reduced the money coming in a great deal. (The why for some of this is stuff I dare not bring up).

But yeah I can see lots of hard luck folks looking for some where to land.

I only hope that certain lessons are learned from these type of occurrences. Things like this should open eyes, ears, and mouths if you get my drift
