Are there any similarities between a Yepezi ray and a Humerosa... some of the recent pictures i have seen, are getting me confused., What do you think? anyone have 2 clear photos they could share of each ray? thanks

HUMEROSA RAYS

I don't think anyone knows for sure..

Fish Room Plus' rays, I would call those Yepezis.. but im sure they came to him as Humerosa..

I have ordered Motoro 'Common', Yepezi, 'Laticeps', and Orbignyi all in the same import, only to have all of these rays be similiar if not identicle in pattern and detail..

Heres an example, these 6 rays pictured.. 3 are Yepezi, 3 are Laticeps.. Which is which?

PS.. Laticeps, I don't even think scientifically exists anymore, as I found zero information on it.. However, some exporters and fish collectors in the jungle still use these types of common names to identify fish.. Thus, creating alot of confusion when the exchange of species happen and also opening the door for people to name the fish whatever they find most appealing..

Well my ray looks like the ray second from the top. It was sold to me as a yepezi, Regardlesswhat species,i love the ray to death, and HE has really nice patterns on him, A bunch of smiley faces and frowny faces and such, were formed out of his spots and stripes.

Post a picture!

I had a ray a couple of months ago that I was told to be a yepezi.
Here's some pics of him. Not the best quality, but in some pix u can se his pattern quite well. Click on the pic to enlarge.

i think it's a yepezi... doesn't look like a humerosa, butr it could allways be a hybrid of other rays... ;)
