Humerosa

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I am not keeping one but I forgot my first ray I ever bought was believed to be a humerosa/yepesi. Although not mosaic it showed small light spotting like it might develop that pattern with age. Was sold as a puma cat which I thought was interesting

A bud on here has mosaic about two feet across if not bigger. One of my favorite rays I've seen with the adult pattern. He should post pix!

that is 100% not humerosa.humerosa have very rough skin and the tail is covered in spine not one row.
if that ray came from brazil basing on its very beedy eyes and the white spots starting to pop out its a scobina pup.

humerosa have denticles all over the disk like sand paper, and 3 rows os spines on the tail. on another thought it could be dumerilii or orb?

I agree, I got that ray 4 years ago when I first started keeping rays and it spurred a debate on this board as to what it was. Now I would just call it a peru sp. as I believe that is where it came from. I only had it for about a month and should of kept it as it had a castexi like personality.
