Went into a LFS yesterday and saw a Tiger Shovelnose sitting there. He looked different than any I had seen before. He had some kind of hump or something on his head. Im big into anything thats different so I worked them down on the price a little bit and had them bag him up and took him home. So now I want to know if anyone can tell me what this is? Ive never seen a TSN like this before...

Anyone who has any ideas let me know..

Thanks

It definetaly sounds possible...

Wouldnt he have had to have hit the glass REALLY hard to do that? Wonder if he could even gather up enough speed-force to do that?

They're pretty fast, and I'm sure when they're small they're they're skulls are pretty fragile... And upturned snouts are very common on tsn usually caused by bashing into the glass. They are known to be easily "spooked" and will swim for cover. If there is none available they might thrash around for awhile looking for some where to hide....

Fish with upturned snouts seem to do fine given a better environment to live in as long as he's feeding. But this skull thing i have never seen man... I'd say if he's swimming normal (acting fine) and eating right, you're atleast good for now.
Good luck and keep us posted. I'd like to see what he looks like when he hits 2 feet plus
