hunger kills pbass...

well fellas i just lost one of my lil guys (temensis) due to eating too much that he can handle... for some reason all my other guys are trippn out.. breathing at the top of the water, which is out of the norm... i did 25% water change & changed bio bags still they seem to have breating problems... any suggestions... i know we got alot of well expierienced pbass experts in MFL... so im all ears....... thanx guys....

You need to check your water parameters. There are a number of threads concerning fish breathing at the top of the water. That normally means there is something about the water that isnt right.

i dont think you shouldve changed your bio bags.. only thing you should change on your filter is the prefilter stuff like the mechanically filtering things.

what are the temps? any top water movement?

? temp - best around 86*F
Give good airation.

its not overfeeding as I have yet to see a pbass die from being stuffed...it is most likely something with your water, or possibly something sprayed in the room or other contaminant that got into the tank.
best thing to do is add aeration...go get some carbon pouches from your LFS and drop them directly in the tank(they will remove polutants fast) and do a 50% water change.....make sure your temp is at 86*F as it not only is good for them ,but will speed up their metabolism and get their food digested faster

well thanks guys... this is in regaurds to everyone that is replying to this thread.... all water parameters are good... Temp.. 87.. filters runing, giving good waves at the top of the water also got a fluval thats breaking water... and its most likely leading to dmack advice because i was painting in that room yesturday...all bass seem to be doing alot more better this morning... after those water changes yesturday.... thanks again you guys

definetly, hit, right on target.... i was painting in that room... before i painted i fed them.. tem died with a minnow in his mouth.....

DMACK is a GENIUS when it comes to these pbass
