First off I HAVE read the stickies on feeding issues I would just like someone to clarify for me. I have x2 3inch Sens, 1x 6inch Sen before I upgraded to a 60G they were all feeding on Blood worms, Sinking Carnivore Pellets, Miysis Shrimp (Stayed in the tank all through the night not even a nibble off it), and Beef heart. Now since the upgrade they don't even turn for the Beef Heart and "Occasionally" bite some worms. They all go for the pellets though, the issues is they're only eating the pellets and I can't get them to eat supplies I can obtain. I'm going to try some frozen shrimp soon and see if they take them. I understand they do Hunger Strikes but I've tried every method on the forums but can't get them to eat anything but the occasional blood worms and pellets. Any tips or foods bichir cant resist? Also how often should I be feeding this guys?

I have tried feeding with the lights off at night, in the morning every possibly time.

Thanks,
Justin

try not feeding for a day or to my Oscar and arrow wont eat any thing for a day or two if i feed them to often they do get full

Hmm maybe they haven't got used to the new environment they're in yet? My Senegals love bloodworms and feeder frogs, so much until they rarely look at pellets now. i feed them twice a day, morning before leaving home and night before lights out

Thanks I'll try that out!

Not feeding them is the best way to go, i always do that when introducing new food or when new fish just will not eat. Good luck.

mine go nuts for smelt, tilapia, basa, and sole. also try scenting the food with garlic

garlic??? Is that safe???

did you cycle ur tank yet. A fish is very unlikely to eat if ur tank is not cyled for at least 2 weeks.
