hunter or killer catfish

A few years ago I went to a Detroit fish store and they had alot of rare and hard to get fish. One that caught my eye was called a hunter cat. These things were insane!!! Does anyone know what kind of fish this is that I am talking about, and if so, do you have any info about them? I would like to know the real name and geographic location etc... Thanks for any help.

Can you give us a brief description of these fish? Unforunately, hunter catfish does not give us a lot to go off of.

Are you referring to a Wallago sp.?

I have a few pics of them, but I am not having much luck finding them. These fish had teeth that you could see clearly and they just did not act the way you would expect from a cat fish. They also grew pretty fast.

Yes, I do believe that the fish that were called hunter cats are actually wallago sp. Thanks for the help!!!
