In Your Imagination
As the title stated I LOVE THE COLORADO DIVISION OF WILDLIFE!
Well, being a youth in Colorado I am able to go big game hunting with the dow. Last year I was picked for a 3 day hunt in Highlands Ranch (45mins away). Well when my time came to go, it got canceled due to the 3+ feet of snow on the ground. THis was going to be a nice hunt, big old tent with a wood stove, nice and cozy,,,, Too Bad :(
When the time came to apply for a hunt again, I got picked once again, this time it is 5 hours away. So when they call you know I expecting to be in a tent..... BUT, Instead this hunt will be at a 5 star hunting resort! They fly in chefs from all around the US to make gormet meals and we will be staying in a luxery cabin. WOW! So the place is called Three Forks Ranch up in Steamboat Springs. Anywho, The paying customer would be paying $7750 per person for the same thing I am doing. So total me and my Mom would pay $15500 but since we are going through the DOW it will only cost us $10.75 for the lisense.
Oh Yeah, they say we will see between 4000 and 5000 elk and they guarantee I will drop one. Their website is www.threeforksranch.com if you want to check it out for yourself!
As stated earlier.....

The only difference from this and the average percoms hunting it I will be sleeping in a cabine at night instead of a tent. They don't "farm" them or anything like that.

Hope you get one and post some pics!!! Good luck !!

And the executive chefs.

To me, hunting isn't just shooting something with a gun, its the whole atmosphere, and at a 5 star "Hunting resort" all that atmosphere is gone. Seeing another person beside who came with me to hunt ruins the atmosphere to, for me its all about getting away... completely away :D

Oh well maybe you'll get a bull next year, get a big fat cow, and put some meat in the freezer.

So you'd turn down a free stay at 5 star resort with professional chefs that will cook you gourmet meals because you don't normally stay somewhere like that when you hunt?
That logic fails me....

Good luck, salsa, sounds like fun!

Yeah, it wouldn't be enjoyable for me.
