hey guys, one of my pikes has this wierd rash on it scales i dont know if its a virus or disease or something but if any one knows help me out. its a white spot that seems to be spreading. it started out small and is getting bigger and i have noticed another one on the other side of him as well. sorry about the crappy quailty pic

Where is the heater in your tank? My pikes would hide next to or behind the heater and it would give them burns...look almost like that. Could be that. Or if you have abrassive rocks like lava rocks and lace rock in there, if the pike got spooked it could damage itself. Add some Melafix to the water, great for healing open wounds..

Ill back up the melafix suggestion. It works wonders.

Be extra careful with the melafix. It does compromise the biological filtration. But it is great
stuff, just don`t over-do it. HTH.......Keith

Is it really that easy to OD on Melafix? I didnt think it was.

It`s not an overdose. It kills most of the biological filtration. Which can cause various adverse
reactions in your tank, & none being good. HTH.......Keith
